In-depth french guided tour of the Jas de Bouffan mansion
During this 1h45 hours tour, you will be guided through Paul Cezanne's home to discover the places that housed the creation of his early works and witnessed the emergence of Modern Art. (only in French)
This 1 hour 45 minutes tour will offer an in-depth exploration of the park and the rooms of the Jas de Bouffan estate. The visit will explore the history of this 18th-century site from its origins to the present day. Residence of the Cezanne’s family from 1859 to 1899, this home sheltered the beginnings of Paul Cezanne's work and the mark of his perpetual artistic exploration. The tour will show living spaces such as the kitchen and the dining room. The grand salon will also be revealed and highlighted through a projection system. It stands as a witness and a relic of Paul Cezanne's early artistic production and the birth of Modern Art. On the upper floors, the visit will offer the opportunity to see the bedroom known as "Léda's" and the first studio of the Aix master, located in the attic.
