Grand Théâtre de Provence
The Grand Théâtre de Provence (GTP), designed by architect Vittorio Gregotti, is firmly in the 21st century.
An open space, habitable and inhabited from the inside out, it becomes the true center of expansion for the city of Aix-en-Provence.

The habitable open-space is inhabited inside and has fuelled Aix-en-Provence's expansion:
- a show room with modular capacity (1259-1366 seats)
- an orchestra pit for up to 105 musicians, 32 x 15m stage, a large hall and rehearsal studios
- public areas: patio, entrance hall and 6000m2 of terraces
Any kind of music for any kind of audience. The Grand Théâtre de Provence's season hosts all forms of music (classical, baroque, opera, recital, big stars, jazz, world, song), dance and shows for young audiences.
The first season opened with a recital by Jessye Norman on December 1st 2007.
Monthly theatre tours are available on the first Saturday of the month at 11.30am: free tour upon booking.
The Teddy Bar in the GTP has the plush feel of an English member's club and is open from 7pm until 1 hour after the performance on show nights. There are also two interval bars at the Grand Théâtre de Provence.
You can rent the Grand Théâtre de Provence for PR events, parties or show-based get-togethers.
The facility boasts an auditorium and exhibition hall.
Disabled facilities: induction loop and wheelchair access.

All year round.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
