Château Virant
Winegrowing and olive production estate in an idyllic location surrounded by grapevines and olive trees.
Annual award-winning (Concours Général Agricole) wine and olive oil is produced under the estate's 300-year-old vaults. The Cheylan family, the owners and producers, open their doors to the public every day for an enjoyable tasting and a tour of the estate. The grapevine and olive tree museum is an inviting place, with a visitors tour that calls upon all the senses. Visitors can watch a film about the estate, see some ancient tools, and use the educational aids to learn all about wine and olive oil. Château Virant is the only oil mill to have been awarded the 'Living Heritage Company' label, as a testament to the excellence of French expertise. There are also olive oil tasting sessions available, and themed gourmet meals.
Mrs Cheylan also organises olive oil workshops where participants learn to use all the senses. There are 2 options available: introduction and seminar.
